F License

The Youth modules are broken down into three separate age-specific classes of 5 hours each; U6-U8, U8-U10, and U10-U12. Field and classroom work are both involved.

• Characteristics of Players
• Team Administration
• Risk Management
• Care and Prevention of injuries
• Modified Laws of the Game
• Age-Appropriate Field Activities

Duration: Attendance of all 5 hours in mandatory. No Examination.

Fee: $40 for coaches of VYSA Teams, $55 for coaches of non-VYSA teams.

E License

To prepare coaches working with players U9-U12 by expanding their knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and needs of an athlete in the basic stage of a long-term athlete development model.

Specific target outcomes of the course:

• To understand and effectively apply the principles of Long Term Athlete Development.
• To demonstrate competency in planning an age-appropriate training session.
• To demonstrate the essential competencies to execute a team training session that is focused on a technical function of the game.
• To understand concepts and recognize the principles of attacking and defending in a small-sided game environment.

Duration: 18 hours. Theory, Practical and a take home exam, non-graded. Candidate should be 16 year of age or older. Attendance to all 18 hours is mandatory.

Fee: $70 for coaches of VYSA teams, $95 for coaches of non-VYSA teams.

D License

All coaches must have successfully completed the E certificate course and hold the E course certificate for at least six months before attending the D license course. Waivers for this course will no longer be accepted.

The course is divided in two weekends. Instructional phase and performance review phase. Between these two phases, the coaches will need to wait 10 weeks.

Fee: $130 for coaches of VYSA teams, $180 for coaches non-VYSA teams.
